Bitumen Penetration Grade 120/150
Bitumen 120/150 description
In general, Bitumen Penetration Grade 120/150 is used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties, especially in road and airport constructions and other similar applications. It is a standard Penetration Grade of Bitumen according to ASTM D946M. Hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses is mostly made using this grade of bitumen. Vacuum residue is used to make Penetration Grades of Bitumen, which is then heated and blown by hot air in the Daya Blowing Unit. The completely automated process produces a consistent, homogenous end product.
The Penetration Grade of Daya Oil Any grade of bitumen is available, and the midpoints of their penetration ranges are indicated by two numerals.
Bitumen Penetration Grade 120/150 is a type of bitumen that is created when the vacuum bottom (the feedstock for making bitumen that is derived from distillation tower residue in vacuum oil refineries) is oxidized at the bitumen production unit in such a way that its penetration point (a type of test to determine the hardness of bitumen) becomes between 120 and 150. Bitumen 120/150 is compatible with all types of aggregates and has a high flash point and good adhesion capabilities.
Bitumen’s characteristics 120/150
Pure petroleum grade bitumen, produced from a vacuum bottom by the passage of hot air, is the penetration grade bitumen that Daya Oil supplies. After being cracked and the hydrocarbons were removed, the bitumen that Daya Oil supplies is made from the leftover crude oil. The softening point of Bitumen Penetration Grade 120/150 is between 38 and 45 °C, and its penetration ranges from 120 to 150 desi-millimeters. The thermoplastic quality of penetration grade bitumen 120/150 makes it similar to a synthetic resin substance that softens when heated and hardens when cooled. Compared to other grades, bitumen 120/150 has a fairly strong viscosity.
Bitumen 120/150 uses
Bitumen Penetration Grade 120/150 is appropriate for asphalt pavements with outstanding qualities and for building roads. Hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses is made with this kind of bitumen.
Bitumen Penetration Safety and Guarantee 120150
By arranging for international inspectors to check the quality and quantity of the bitumen penetration grade 120/150 during the loading to the vessel and controlling the production by QC by batch test report before shipping, Daya Oil Company guarantees the quality of Bitumen Penetration Grade 120150. The quality is guaranteed by Daya Oil Company to fulfill ASTM standards.
Daya Bitumen promises that Bitumen Grade 120/150 is created by and in agreement with international standards like AASHTO M20-70 & ASTM D946, as well as that it satisfies the following specification criteria.
Bitumen Penetration Grade 120-150 packing
Paving bitumen 120/150 is often packaged in new steel drums, barrels weighing 150, 180, and 220 kg, 1MT and 500-kilogram jumbo bags, or 300 kg bitubags.
The remainder of the grades are also prepared to load trucks with bulk ex-work Daya bitumen.
